Swim Lessons

Charlotte and Leo started swim lessons last night at the Mercy HealthPlex. Luckily, the baby swim lessons are in the 92 degree therapy pool, it was sooo nice and warm. Lessons started at 6:00 but Charlotte and I hopped in at 5:45. She started splashing and kicking the moment her little feet hit the water. She has always loved her bath, so I was fairly certain she would react well to the pool.

Of course Miss Charlotte doesn't go anywhere without an entourage, Daddy and Grandpa Maher were both poolside watching and taking pictures. We started teaching her how to blow bubbles, kick her feet, move her arms, and fall from the side into the water. She really liked falling into the water with me catching her. She even went most of the way under water!!! She looked a little surprised when she popped back up but ended up smiling anyway. The Maher and Cooley families have lots of swimmers and I don't think Charlotte will be an exception to the rule.

Christmas

Charlotte thoroughly enjoyed Christmas. She had a very busy weekend of opening presents, eating tissue paper and hanging out with family. She received so many toys I am not sure where to put them all. Although she was more interested in the wrapping products while she was opening the toys now she has really started to enjoy playing with some of them.



This is one of her favorites, from Aunt Janet and Uncle Ken.



The classic ring stacker from Grandpa Maher is also at the top of her list.



Aunt Aimee gave her a Mrs. Clause outfit, and she looked adorable in it.
