Sophie the Giraffe

Meet Sophie

Apparently Sophie is the coolest teething toy a baby can have. She's been around for 40 years!! You have to admit she resembles a doggy chew toy. Zoe certainly agrees, she hasn't taken her eyes off the toy since it came out of the box last night. Moms say their babies go nuts for her. For 17 bucks, Charlotte had better go nuts.

1 Year Ago Today.....

I found out I was pregnant! Dave and I had been married for exactly nine days and we had been home from our honeymoon for 1 day. I decided to take a test and hop in the shower feeling certain it would be negative. 10 minutes later I got out of the shower to a digital read-out saying "pregnant". I yelled "Dave, you had better come in here!!" I don't think I had even mentioned to him that I was actually going to test. One year later, here we are.

Anyway, Charlotte is wearing another designer outfit today thanks to Grandma Maher. A DKNY shirt with leggings, she belongs on the catwalk.

Talking Queen

Charlotte decided it was time to start talking. It all started while playing in Leo's jumperoo, she just jabbered away with excitement. Saturday she talked to us in the car for most of the ride to the west side. Then, last night I put her to bed and closed the door. She started babbling, on and on and on. It's like she thought I could understand her. I almost went back in to get her....and noticed she had talked herself to sleep. She is getting lots of practice! Something tells me she will take after her Aunt Aimee. I seem to remember her never shutting up when she was little....she still hasn't stopped talking now that I think about it.

Halloween

Miss Charlotte had quite an eventful Halloween weekend. Friday we all went to the Kunnen's for dinner and costume trials. Charlotte and Leo looked adorable together. Just think, next year they will be walking door to door!

Saturday we took Charlotte to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cooley and then trick-or-treating with her cousins Madison and Brooke. Poor Loren had the job of holding the babies and trying to get them to look at the camera.

When it was finally trick-or-treating time, Dave wore Charlotte in the front carrier. She loved being outside so much she fell asleep. Ha!
